Discovering Who the Users Are.

The understanding who your users is of the greatest importance when determining the path of a social media platform (or of any business for that matter).  I set about looking at the current data we have on users, and created a questionnaire that would help pull more information to determine a more concise picture of our users and their behavior.

Having the support community managers discover a subset of users, they approached them to fill out the questionnaire. I collated the data, looked for commonalities and discovered two different users personas. I built out poster sized images that would encourage the staff to understand who they were building for and could address any hurdles based on these profiles.
